Losin’ Lately Gambler was originally released in 2009, and is going to be back in print as we celebrate Corb’s extensive catalog. Losin’ Lately Gambler is propelled by a galloping stand-up bass, steel guitar and is set to Corb’s Jack London-esque yarns about down-and-out cowboys, whiskey and ranching. The sound is tough to categorize but the mix of roughnecks, bikers, bankers, and ranch hands you’ll see drinking and standing shoulder to shoulder at one of his concerts will all agree, Corb Lund is authentic. “This was my first album on New West Records and my first official US release,” said Lund, “Having two songs with Canadian references in the titles probably wasn’t the smartest move, but I like this record. The quasi-title track “A Game in Town Like This” is one of my favourites that I’ve ever written. You seldom succeed as a songwriter in conveying exactly the feeling you want in a song, but I nailed it on this one. And no one really cared, but it’s still one of my favourites.” 

This limited edition release is part of the Corb Lund - Dark Horses Club. New West Records will be releasing unreleased records and material from Corb Lund throughout 2025 and 2026.
